every friday i will recommend a couple cds, or songs, mixes, bird songs, duck whistles, etc.

first is a new oldie, mix master mike and his album "Bangzilla" (2004)- is as good as his first album "anti-theft device" and just as consistent. the same scratch heavy, beat juggling and cutting styles are present but this album is shorter and better produced. the weird, hilarious, obscure movie samples are still are part of the package and work just as well as mf doom's movie samples for his albums.

also he is of Ashkenazi Jewish and Filipino descent, who knew? well actually the jewish things is surprising, but the turntable "scene" is made up of several notable Filipinos: dj q-bert, another member of the Invisibl Skratch Piklz, dj babu of dialated peoples, as well as several
others.

my other rec is kanye west's video for my favorite song on his latest album
"graduation." he is still arrogant and annoying but he is onto something with the third version of the video for "Flashing Lights."
